Bassist, composer, and band leader Christian "Big New York" de Mesones returns to the Carlyle Club with "A Smooth Funky Evening with Big New York & the Smooth Jazz All-Starz", bringing his unique brand of Latin- and Funk-infused smooth jazz and a stellar lineup. Christian has wowed audiences throughout the DMV since 2015 with his personal vision for this group. When asked to explain that vision, he stated, "Everyone gets a spotlight in this band. I like to create excitement sonically, and that means mixing it up so the listening audience can get it's money's worth."
